Strengthening, Preparing & Connecting Youth

History

Young Rhinebeck (originally known as Rhinebeck Connections) was founded in 1993 with the original intent of establishing and running a community youth center.

This focus, however, changed and evolved after a need to develop and implement after-school educational and social programs was identified.

Some programs that Young Rhinebeck has offered in the past include:

· After-school homework help

· Mentoring

· Alcohol & substance use prevention education

· Free after-school electives programs

Participants in Young Rhinebeck’s Life, Learning & Language Program practice telling the time with their Rhinebeck High School student tutor.
