Strengthening, Preparing & Connecting Youth |
Young Rhinebeck develops and implements programs to serve the youth of Rhinebeck. Our primary focus is to provide after-school programs.

Programs |
Our “LLL” program began as a response to the growing number of children in Rhinebeck’s schools whose families do not speak English as their first language. This program brings Bard College and Rhinebeck High School students to the Chancellor Livingston Elementary School to work with children on their English and other academic and social skills and to help them adapt to and succeed in our schools. Additionally, LLL improves communication between these families and the school community by recruiting and training volunteers to assist the families of the students with navigating the educational system. |

Life, Learning & Language |

More non-sports programming was deemed as the greatest need for teens in our 2007 Youth Programming Needs Assessment, so we opened and ran a teen center during 2008 & 2009. Our programs for teens are now focused on periodic activities in and around town. Read more about Young Rhinebeck’s Teen Center here, and check our homepage regularly for upcoming events. |
